The MyNISSAN Navara Mobile App can notify you via email, SMS text message, or mobile phone push whenever a particular event occurs.
When you register and use MyNISSAN for the first time, three types of notifications are created automatically: Email, SMS, and Push. Email and Push notifications are enabled by default and all event types are turned on. SMS is not turned on. You can create and customise your own notifications also; please see "To create a notification" below.
Note: For safety reasons, you will always be notified about Climate/Engine On events.
Access your account by using the MyNISSAN Navara Mobile App.
To update your preferences:
- Sign in to your account on the MyNISSAN Navara Mobile App.
- Select "Account Settings" by selecting the gear icon on the home screen.
- Select "Notifications."
To create a notification:
- Follow the steps in "To update your preferences" above.
- Select "+".
- On the Channels screen, choose how you want to be notified of an event
by selecting Email or SMS text message.
Note: Nissan asks you to confirm that they can contact you. Select "PROCEED."
- The Add Notification screen appears. For email notifications, enter the
email address. For SMS text notifications, enter the phone
number.
Note: The email address or phone number you enter does not need to match the one associated with the account.
- Select the checkboxes for alerts that you want to receive, and deselect the checkboxes for alerts that you do not want to receive.
- Select "SAVE."
To change a notification:
- Follow the steps in "To update your preferences" above.
- Select the notification that you want to change (not the toggle to enable or disable the notification).
- On the Edit Notification screen, select the checkboxes for alerts that you want to receive, and deselect the checkboxes for alerts that you do not want to receive.
- Select "SAVE."
To enable or disable a notification:
- Follow the steps in "To update your preferences" above.
- Locate the notification that you want to enable or disable.
- Touch the toggle on the right side of the screen to enable or disable each notification.
To delete an email or SMS notification preference:
- Follow the steps in "To update your preferences" above.
- Select the notification that you want to delete (not the toggle to
enable or disable the notification).
NOTE: Push notifications cannot be deleted, but you can disable them. See "To enable or disable a notification" above to manage push notifications.
- Select the bin icon, and then confirm your choice.
