When the Safeguard system detects an airbag deployment or a collision in a registered MyNISSAN vehicle, your vehicle automatically attempts to connect to the MyNISSAN Emergency Response Centre.
Once connected, information about your vehicle, its location, and its condition is sent to the emergency response centre. Emergency response specialists will work with the appropriate emergency services for a response.
While all accidents are important to us, automatic connection to the emergency response centre is made based on the vehicle's airbag deployment and the severity of the impact. Not all accidents are severe enough to automatically trigger the vehicle to connect to the emergency response centre.
In cases where the vehicle does not automatically call, you can manually push the SOS Emergency Assistance button. Once connected to the MyNISSAN Emergency Response Centre, you can tell the agent whether or not to forward the information to law enforcement authorities or medical services.
