The Rogue PHEV NissanConnect® Services app can notify you via email, SMS text message, or mobile phone push whenever a particular event occurs.
When you register and use the Rogue PHEV NissanConnect® app for the first time, three types of notifications are created automatically: Email, SMS, and Push. Email and Push notifications are enabled by default and all event types are turned on. SMS is not turned on. You can create and customize your own notifications also; please see "To create a notification" below.
Push notifications have one restriction: you cannot turn off Immediate Climate notifications. “Immediate Climate” refers to starting the Climate remotely. Except for Immediate Climate, you can deselect any other event type that you do not want to be notified about. For safety reasons, you will always be notified about Immediate Climate events.
If you choose to toggle off all Push notifications, please note that Immediate Climate Push notifications will remain on.
Access your account by using the Rogue PHEV NissanConnect® Services app.
To update your preferences:
1. Sign in to your account on the Rogue PHEV NissanConnect® Services app.
2. Select "Account Settings" by selecting the gear icon on the home screen.
3. Select "Notifications."
To create a notification:
1. Follow the steps in "To update your preferences" above.
2. Select "+".
3. On the Channels screen, choose how you want to be notified of an event by selecting Email or SMS text message.
Note: Nissan asks you to confirm that they can contact you. Select "PROCEED."
4. The Add Notification screen appears. For email notifications, enter the email address. For SMS text notifications, enter the phone number.
Note: The email address or phone number you enter does not need to match the one associated with the account.
5. Select the checkboxes for alerts that you want to receive, and deselect the checkboxes for alerts that you do not want to receive.
6. Select "Save."
To change a notification:
1. Follow the steps in "To update your preferences" above.
2. Select the notification that you want to change (not the toggle to enable or disable the notification).
3. On the Edit Notification screen, select the checkboxes for alerts that you want to receive, and deselect the checkboxes for alerts that you do not want to receive.
4. Select "Save."
To enable or disable a notification:
1. Sign in to your account on the Rogue PHEV NissanConnect® Services app.
2. Touch the toggle on the right side of the screen to enable or disable each notification.
To delete an email or SMS notification preference:
1. Follow the steps in "To update your preferences" above.
2. Select the notification that you want to delete (not the toggle to enable or disable the notification).
NOTE: Push notifications cannot be deleted, but you can disable them. See "To enable or disable a notification" above to manage push notifications.
3. Select the trash can icon, and then confirm your choice.
4. When asked to confirm, select "DELETE."
